WYN

The shape of this rune can be traced back to the weather-vane and its use to plot the direction of the wind. In modern jargon it refers to 'going with the flow' and therefore being at one with your personal environment.

It is a good rune to see in a reading because it is a sign of happiness, joy and all the pleasures life can offer. Be careful, though, as it can also lure the querent into a false sense of security by offering a vision of a Utopian future.

Wyn teaches us to bend with the wind and maximise what we can get out of daily life. It is sometimes called the wish rune because it brings with it the possibility that our dreams may come true; though we should be careful what we wish for as we might just get it!

On a less positive level, it can be a self-destructive rune as we often cause our own unhappiness by giving way to negative thoughts. If we can adopt a more positive attitude and never forget to wish upon a star then Wyn promises us a better and happier tomorrow.
